불을 무서워하는 동물 Primal Fear
스카이림에 보다 현실성을 부여하고 싶다면 이 모드를 깔아주자.
리암니슨 주연의 생존영화 '더 그레이'를 보면 주인공 오트웨이가 불을 이용해서 늑대들의 습격을 저지한다. 동물들이 본시 불을 무서워하는 습성을 이용한 것인데, 스카이림의 늑대들은 어떻게 생겨먹은 걸까? 도무지 불을 무서워하지도 도망가지도 않는다.
Primal Fear는 이런 스카이림 세계에 리얼리티를 부여해주는 모드로, 이 모드를 설치하면 스카이림의 동물들이 드디어 횃불을 무서워하게 된다. 주인공이 횃불을 들고 있으면 동물들이 가까이 다가오지 않거나 도망가게 만드는 모드이다.
밤에 횃불을 들고 컴컴한 산길을 헤매다가 별안간 늑대에게 뒤통수를 습격당해 간떨어지는 경험을 해본 유저라면 이 모드를 한번 설치해 보자.

Description
Equipping a torch protects you from certain beasts. They won't attack you on sight anymore, but they'll stalk you until your torch runs out, or they find an easier target. Getting too close with your torch will cause them to flee. See the screenshots for a visual representation. New features in Dynamic Mode allow beasts to advance slowly on you and attack during the day. During the night and in dark environments, beasts become more cautious of your torch and flee as you get close.

Sabre Cats
Skeevers
Small Frostbite Spiders
Ice Wraiths
Trolls
After installing version 1.1 or higher, your player will automatically be given the ability Primal Fear. You'll see a notification in the top left saying "You are empowered with Primal Fear". If you wish to toggle the spell on yourself or another NPC, you can use one of the two spells I've made. They are added through the console so you don't have to clutter up your spell tabs. Flames of Primal Fear is used to toggle the effects for yourself. Fireball of Primal Fear is used to toggle the effects on NPCs. It can be cast on all playable races, and should support followers made from a custom race. Using the fireball on your followers and giving them a torch will allow them to scare off beasts at night.
Getting The Spells (not required)
The spells are only required if you want to toggle off the effects for yourself, or if you want to add the ability to your follower. Open the console with ~ and type help "of Primal Fear" (the quotation marks are necessary). You should see the IDs for the two spells. Type into the console player.addspell along with the spells ID and press enter. A notification will pop up in the top-left letting you know that the spell was added.
The spells are found in the Illusion Tab, and are cast like any other spell. Additionally, you'll see notifications in the top-left telling you if you enabled or disabled the ability.
